Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“The Greater One”

1 John 4:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that no task or situation is too difficult for us as believers in Jesus because the one who now lives in us [the Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit] is greater. Now, to quote R.W. Schamback, “You don’t have any trouble, all you need is faith in God.”  All we need is faith in the one who now lives in us.  As we close, here are a few things Jesus said about the one who now lives in you:

John 14:16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) – He is your Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby.

Psalm 32:8 Amplified Bible (AMP) – He will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; He will counsel you [who are willing to learn].

John 16:13-15 – He will guide you into all truth.  He will speak to you what He hears from heaven and He will show you things to come.

Galatians 5:22-23 – He is the fruit of the Spirit [love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control]. Yes, its all in you now, but its up to you to believe it, receive it and act on it.

Isaiah 63:10 & Ephesians 4:30 – He can be grieved.

Hebrews 13:5 – He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Matthew 28:20 – He is with you always even unto the end of the earth.
