Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Don’t Assume, Ask”
Proverbs 3:5-6 New Living Translation (NLT)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do [Father how should I handle this; how should I respond], and he will show you which path to take.

Further Thought: Many of us have and continue to do what we call good things. But have we asked the question: “Father, is this what you’ve called me to do, and if so, is this the time? Father, what should I do in this situation? How should I respond?” Remember, we have God’s Spirit living within us, waiting for our acknowledgement of Him so He can assist us [Romans 8:11, John 16:13-15, and John 14:16-17, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition].
Well, some may say, ‘I don’t have time to ask God about every decision; that’s why He gave me a brain.’ Remember, He didn’t say let my brain be in you. No, He said, “let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” [Philippians 2:5]. He desires for you and me to handle every situation the way He would handle it.
My friend, what we need to do may appear obvious, but other factors may be working that we know “zero” about, that are seeking to sidetrack us from God’s best and His timing. And this is why our Father not only wants us to seek and acknowledge Him in every decision, but also to expect Him to guide us on the best path, so we can solve the issue the first time and stay on course.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
