Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“What Have You Given Up”

Romans 12:2 King James Version (KJV)

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that [you] may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Mark 10:28-30 Living Bible (TLB)

28 Then Peter began to mention all that he and the other disciples had left behind. “We’ve given up everything to follow you,” he said.  29 And Jesus replied, “Let me assure you that no one has ever given up anything—home, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, or property—for love of me and to tell others the Good News, 30 who won’t be given back, a hundred times over, homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land—with persecutions! “All these will be his here on earth, and in the world to come he shall have eternal life.

Further Thought:  According to Mark 10 above, Jesus is depending on His followers to ensure that others have the opportunity to hear the Good News of the Kingdom.  So the question today is, what have you given up for the love of Jesus and to ensure others get to hear the Good News of the Kingdom of God?  Have you delayed a purchase to give in support of your local church or another ministry?  Have you given your time to mentor others, demonstrating the love of God, so they can fulfill all they have been destined to accomplish?  According to Jesus, you have the Bible right to believe and expect a 100 times over return on that seed during your lifetime [see verse 30 above].  When you think about it, investing in God’s Kingdom is the greatest and best investment you could ever make.  Remember, Jesus made this promise; now chew on that.
