“Focus on Your Assignment”

Ephesians 2:8-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship (masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Further Thought:  When you and I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, we responded to His grace.  It was God’s gift to us.  He wants His family back so that we can complete the assignment (good works), He decided before we were born.  It’s an assignment, not a job.  Well, some may say I don’t know what my assignment is.  Now relax, just as you receive His free gift of salvation, you receive your assignment in the same way.  Remember it’s not of works.  As you spend quality (undisturbed) time in God’s Word and in His presence, He will give you the desires of your heart [Psalm 37:4].  Remember, it’s His desire, He’s deposited on the inside of you, that’s your assignment.
