connecting with God and you!

From His Perspective

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“From His Perspective”

Ephesians 2:1-6 New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)

1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Further Thought:  I want to focus on two things in today’s passage.  First, even before we thought about living for Jesus, God made provision for us to be made alive with Jesus.  So, no matter how bad a life you can imagine a person living, God sent His Son, even for that one to be made alive once again with Him.  Second, verse six above reminds us that when Jesus was raised from the dead, we were raised from the dead and are now seated with Jesus in heavenly places.  We take our seats by faith with Jesus, acknowledging what God has done —revealed to us in His word —and obeying it.  As a result, God is authorized to open the eyes of our understanding so we can see things from our raised position of authority.  This raised position is also a place of peace and clarity.  You see, the higher we go, the smaller things appear.  So, when we rest in what God has said, we begin to see how small things really are.  Also, from our raised position, we can see more.  We can see what is causing the problem and clearly see God’s way of handling the issue.  Revelation 1:6 reminds us that we are made kings and priests unto God.  A king doesn’t come off his throne when he has a problem.  No, he makes a command, and the problem/issue is resolved.  So, today, let me encourage you to stay seated so you can see things from God’s perspective.  Now, when you see things from your raised position that are out of order, you speak to them according to Mark 11:22-23.  Remember, to solve any problem, you have to go higher than the problem. So, as you take your seat with Jesus today, you not only get to see things from His perspective, but it also positions you for success.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
