Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Stop Trying 2 Escape”
Psalm 139:7-14 (Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) The Voice (VOICE) & New King James Version (NKJV))
7 Your Spirit is everywhere I go. I cannot escape your presence. 8 If I go up to heaven, you will be there. If I go down to the place of death, you will be there. 9 If I go east where the sun rises or go to live in the west beyond the sea, 10 even there you will take my hand and lead me. Your strong right hand will protect me. 11 Suppose I wanted to hide from you and said, “Surely the darkness will hide me. The day will change to night and cover me.” 12 Even the darkness is not dark to you. The night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are the same. 13 For You shaped me, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And my soul knows very well.

Further Thought: This morning, we get another wonderful reminder that no matter where we go, God’s presence is there. So even if you find yourself somewhere you shouldn’t be or doing something you shouldn’t be doing, He’s there and ready to help. Now our part is to recognize and acknowledge His presence. Remember, David, the writer of Psalm 139, didn’t have God’s Spirit living on the inside of him 24/7, but you and I do. So let’s stop trying to hide things from God. If you miss it, confess it [1 John 1:9] and keep moving towards His best. Now enjoy His presence today and watch things begin to change.
P.S. Matthew 18:20 reminds us that there is a special manifestation of God’s presence where two or three believers are gathered. With that said, let me encourage you to gather in agreement with other believers this weekend at the church where God has assigned you or to the church you believe you should be connected with. Recognize in this atmosphere, all things become possible [Mark 9:23 & Mark 10:27].
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
