Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“12 Words”
Mark 9:23 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
——–
Further Thought: Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith in God comes by hearing what He has said and continuing to hear what He has said. With that said, let’s keep it simple. If it’s in God’s Word, it belongs to you. Now let’s look at a few examples in God’s Word of people like you and me who used their faith to believe what God said despite the odds.
• A man over the age of 40 lame from his mother’s womb was immediately healed and restored when he received the Word of God from Peter. [Acts 3:1-7]
• A woman who had suffered greatly for twelve years from slow bleeding used her faith [trust and confidence] in Jesus [Who is the Word of God] and was immediately healed. [Luke 8:43-48]
• And some women [more than one], through faith, received their loved ones back again from death. [Hebrews 11:35]
• Jesus healed a man blind from his birth. In this case, Jesus reminds us that sometimes we will get attacked in this life, but there is no need to fear. Instead of asking why, look unto God; that’s why he sent Jesus. [John 9:1-3 (The Message (MSG)]
• Sarah used her faith to conceive a child when she was 90, because she judged God faithful, who had made her the promise. He’s made you and me promises, which are contained in 66 books that make up the Bible. [Hebrews 11:11]
• By faith the people [of Israel] crossed the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; but when the Egyptians attempted it they were drowned. Remember, the enemy is not allowed to go everywhere you go. [Hebrews 11:29]
• [Prompted] by faith Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed along with those who refused to believe and obey, because she had received the spies in peace [without enmity]. There is protection in obedience. [Hebrews 11:31 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)]
• God used four leprous men as they walked to sound like the noise of chariots and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host. The Syrians thought they heard the sound of two armies, so they left silver, gold, and their raiment and fled for their lives. As a result, God was able to feed and clothe his people who were in a famine. [2 Kings 7]
• Jesus said “This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, if you find that you carry something in your heart against another person, release him and forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also release you and forgive you of your faults. [Mark 11:24-25, (The Passion Translation (TPT)]
As we close, let’s remember two passages, 2 Peter 1:3-4 and Philippians 4:13. They remind us that whatever we need or will need has already been given, and if it’s already been given, then as believers, we have it in our DNA to do it and we should have it. Now, there is a cost, and it’s your time to discover what’s been provided and your faith to take it as yours. Jesus said these 12 Words, if received and acted upon, can change your life: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
