“Do You Not Know”

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Further Thought:  1 Corinthians 6:20 reminds us that we are bought with a price, and that price was God’s own Son, Jesus, who sacrificed (offered) His life in exchange for ours. We are valuable to God. Today’s passage reminds us that we are not only people who believe in the true and living God. But that God Himself has set us apart and now lives in us. Think about that for a moment. If someone lives with you, you shouldn’t ignore them. No, you should be communicating with them at every available opportunity. According to John 16:13-15, the Spirit who now lives in you has the assignment to reveal to you the conversations of heaven and to show you things to come.  Now, what is more important than this?

Yes, the one who created worlds, according to Genesis 1:1-2; you are now His house, and He’s taken up residence, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. So, it’s impossible to kick him out. Yes, you may choose to ignore Him, which wouldn’t be wise. Remember you are God’s masterpiece, according to Ephesians 2:10. You are important and valuable to Him, and never forget this. Now that we know we are God’s temple and that His Spirit dwells in us, let’s ensure that everything we allow into our temple honors Him.
