Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Don’t Know”
James 1:5-8 New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a [doubting, hesitating] double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Further Thought: Today’s passage may answer the question we’ve all asked. God, I’ve asked, so why haven’t I seen the answer? According to verse 6 above, we must not only ask but before we ask, we must be fully persuaded that God has the answer we are looking for. Let’s remember that faith in God begins with knowing what He has said. Today’s passage goes on to say that once we ask, we are to consider no other thoughts than “we believe we receive” what we’ve have asked for. In other words, rest in what the word of God says. Today’s passage further reminds us that when we consider anything else [will God do it or won’t He] other than what God has said, we disqualify ourselves from receiving wisdom [the answer we desire]. As we close, let me encourage you to take time daily to dig into God’s word and discover His wisdom [answers] that are available to you. So, when we don’t know let’s remember to seek first the one who knows all.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
