What Are You Asking & Expecting

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“What Are You Asking & Expecting”

Isaiah 40:31 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Further Thought:  Counting today, we have 10 days before Christmas.  Some of us have told our spouses and loved ones what we desire for Christmas.  With great confidence, most of us expect to receive those things.  And some of us are expecting to receive a few things we didn’t request.  With that said, shouldn’t we put this same trust in our Heavenly Father when we ask for things according to His Word [Mark 11:24-26, 1 John 5:14-15]?  Shouldn’t we also expect Him to do above what we have asked, according to Ephesians 3:20?

So, my question is, what are you asking and expecting from your Heavenly Father this Christmas season? Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that without faith [trust and confidence in what God has said] it is impossible to please Him.  When we think about that, the greatest joy we can bring our God this Christmas season, besides receiving His Son, Jesus, as our Lord and Savior, is to receive, by faith, the benefits and privileges He has made available in His Word.

I want to encourage you to go back and recall those things you asked for in faith that you’ve not seen the manifestation.  Now, dust off your expector.  Let’s understand that our responsibility is to believe we receive according to Mark 11:22-26. You see, when we believe we receive, we shift from asking to thanking and praising God for the manifestation of our request.  Remember, Jesus said in John 16:24, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” So, this Christmas start seeing yourself possessing what God said belongs to you.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
