Praise God In Advance

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Praise God In Advance”

Romans 4:19-21 Living Bible (TLB)

19 And because his faith was strong, he didn’t worry about the fact that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred, and that Sarah his wife, at ninety, was also much too old to have a baby.  20 But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing even before it happened. 21 He was completely sure that God was well able to do anything he promised.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that we can reach a point in our faith where, no matter how impossible a situation may be, we can hold fast to what God has promised.  Romans 4:21 calls this being fully persuaded.  So, when what you are believing for doesn’t look like it will happen, I want to encourage you to remember our father of faith, Abraham and Sarah, who had to wait 100 & 90 years, respectively, for their promise.  They didn’t give up, and you won’t either.  So today, be confident and stand on God’s promises.  Don’t concern yourself with when it’s going to happen.  According to Mark 11:23-24, that’s not your concern.  Let’s follow Abraham’s example and begin to praise God in advance.  Remember, your praise demonstrates your faith (trust, confidence) in God that he will do what he promised.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
