Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“It’s About Souls”
1 Timothy 2:1-4 New Living Translation (NLT)
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that as believers, we have a priority “first of all” to pray for all and to ask God to help them. We are to intercede on their behalf and to give thanks for them. Did you notice this passage, or any other passage in the Bible, doesn’t tell us to continually talk about them? To remind them of how low down or how bad they are, and that they are not worth helping. As we continue with verse 2 of today’s passage, God is reminding us that when we do our part by praying for our fellow man, He is then able to manifest in our lives peace and quietness marked by godliness and dignity (honesty). Yes, our prayers of faith allow God to manifest his peace in our lives, which allows us to stay focused no matter what we face. Verse 3 reminds us that this is what pleases God our Savior. Verse 4 gives us the purpose of our praying, which is not just obedience to God, but this gives God access into the lives of our fellow man to reveal to them the truth. God’s desire is that all men be saved (receive his Son (Jesus) as their Lord and Savior). Once we have received Jesus as our Lord, then we should be committed to walking (living) in the light of God’s Word, which is the truth. Psalm 115:16 reminds us that God has put us in charge of the earth, and only through our prayers does He have the authority to intervene in the affairs of man. Yes, our God wants “all” to be saved. I want to challenge you in 2026 to begin praying daily for your leaders, neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers. When we pray, we are declaring God’s Goodness.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
