“The Way”

– John 14:6 New King James Version (NKJV) Jesus said to him [Thomas], “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

– Proverbs 14:12 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.

– Proverbs 3:5-6 New King James Version (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Further Thought:  Today, let’s continue with the theme of how to get the answers we need.  Let’s face it: none of us is getting any younger.  It’s time to stop making unnecessary mistakes.  It’s time to avoid those ways that continue to cause us setbacks.  We are reminded today of the words of Jesus in John 14:6 above: “I am the way.” Most of us can testify that we’ve all thought we knew the way.  However, the end result(s) proved otherwise.  The good news is we can start fresh today by acknowledging God in every decision.  We do this by presenting every decision to our personal counselor, the Holy Spirit, who lives inside every believer.

Remember, the Holy Spirit is never wrong.  In John 16:13-15, Jesus reminds us that the Holy Spirit will not only reveal the conversations of heaven to us, but he will also show us things to come.  Sounds like He knows the way we should go.  With that said, let’s not neglect our time in God’s Word and in communing with the Holy Spirit, who is our helper throughout our day.  Proverbs 3:5-6 above reminds us that when we seek to please God with our decisions, He will ensure we stay on track and not miss out on any of His goodness in 2026.
