New Year Evaluation

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“New Year Evaluation”

This morning let’s do something a little different. Let’s each do an honest evaluation where we are heading in 2026. You see, the 1 person you don’t want to lie to is you. If there’s a problem, wouldn’t you want to identify it early and correct it? Remember a problem doesn’t get better with time. Ask and honestly answer the following question:

Have you brought old baggage into 2026?

– Unforgiveness (Remember it’s not forgiveness if you continue to bring it up and allow it to dominate your thought life. I was reminded by Dr. Charles Stanley, that God doesn’t promise to tell us why certain things happen to us. We just have to trust that he is a Good Father and has our best in mind).

– Unhealthy Relationships

– Gossiping

– Anger

– Cheating

– Being Late to Work

– Talking About Your Boss

– Failing to Pay Creditors on time

Further Thought:  We limit what God can do in our lives when we continue to hold on to old baggage. If we don’t change our ways, 2026 won’t be any better than past years. Come on, as children of the Most High God, let’s challenge ourselves to go higher. Let’s leave the low life and move to the higher life in Christ Jesus.

That higher life is a life of faith, that God is not a man that he should lie, and that He will do what His Word says. You and I have the DNA of our Heavenly Father, and we have been given the measure of faith to step out and reign in this life.  So let’s make a commitment to dig into the Word of God daily and discover what it has to say about the areas we have yet to experience victory.

As ambassadors for Christ, we have a mandate to live lives that properly represent Him. So, if you don’t have an accountability partner, then get one. Make a commitment to help them become their best. If we don’t hold one another accountable, who will?  I see you letting go of the old and embracing the new.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
