“Allow God’s Word to Work “

Proverbs 6:20-22 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

20 My son, keep your father’s [God-given] commandment and forsake not the law of [God] your mother [taught you].

21 Bind them continually upon your heart and tie them about your neck.

22 When you go, they [the words of your parents’ God] shall lead you; when you sleep, they shall keep you; and when you waken, they shall talk with you.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that when we teach our children and grandchildren God’s Word and to follow it, God has promised His Word will guide, protect, and instruct them daily.  So, let’s stop worrying, raising our voices, and getting our blood pressure up about them, but instead, teach them God’s Word and let the Word do what it was designed to do.  Remember, God’s Word is incorruptible seed, and our part is to plant it, water it with encouragement, and allow God to do what only He can do.  Let’s understand that even as an adult, God’s Word will guide, protect, and instruct you right now if you apply it.  You just have to make the quality decision to apply it to your life.  So, as you start your day, let me encourage you to allow God’s Word to:

1. Lead You

2. Keep You

3. Speak to You
