Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Encourage Yourself”
Mark 9:23 New King James Version (NKJV)
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
——–
Further Thought: So, if you find yourself saying I don’t have anyone to pray for me or I don’t have anyone to encourage me, I want to encourage you to remember today’s passage. Acts 10:34 reminds us that if God did it for one, it’s available to us all. And Malachi, 3:6, that our God doesn’t change. Hebrews 13:5 also reminds us that God said He would never leave us nor forsake us. So, just as Jesus said to the man in today’s passage, whose son was being controlled by an evil spirit and couldn’t speak [Mark 9:17], He’s also saying to you today, regardless of what you are facing, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” You see, when we remind our soul “mind, will, and emotions” of this passage, it removes all the justification to make excuses or to complain. Jesus is saying to you and me today, “I’ve given you my Word, which contains all the power and authority you need; now use it and encourage yourself.” Now, I’m not saying you don’t need people, but I’m reminding you that you always have the power of God [God’s Word] and His authority available to you.
Mark 9:23 Make it personal [put your name here], “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
