Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The Same Power”
Romans 8:11 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
11 And if the Spirit of Him [God] Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.

Further Thought: Yes, this passage does confirm that just as God raised Jesus from the dead, He will also raise us up when our time is up in our earth suits. But let’s look a little deeper. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives inside of everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Since we have this same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead abiding on the inside of us, how can sickness, disease, fear, worry, or anything else contrary to God’s Word take up permanent residence in us? They can because of our lack of knowledge of who we are, whose we are, and the authority we’ve been given, or we have allowed it by choosing not to trust God at His Word. No, we can’t prevent them [the afflictions of life] from knocking at the door, but we can prevent them from coming in. Now the Good News is if they have come in, you’ve been given the authority to kick them out, according to Mark 11:23 and Isaiah 54:17. None of us would allow anyone to stay in our homes without our approval, so as believers, why would we allow anything contrary to God’s Word to remain in our earthly bodies? If someone doesn’t leave your home after you have asked them, you would exercise your right by calling the local authorities, and they will assist. In the Kingdom of God, our authority is in God’s Word, and remember, according to Philippians 2:10, every knee [situation, problem, dis-ease] must bow [submit] to the authority of God’s Word, that is believed and acted upon. I want to encourage you to begin to understand the authority you’ve been given and start using it to speak to those mountains [anything preventing you from living your best life] and command them to go in Jesus’ Name. Remember, you may not see any change initially, but don’t be moved; it’s only temporary. How, because the same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead now lives in you. The Same Power! Now chew on that.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
