Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“He Needs Your Permission”
Psalm 115:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
Matthew 18:18 King James Version (KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye [you] shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever [you] shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:18 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
I promise you God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth, but God will not allow anything you don’t allow.

Further Thought: God also reminds us in Genesis 1:26 that He has given us dominion over the earth. Let’s understand that we, not God, get to determine what we allow and don’t allow. So, what are you allowing? Yes, life happens, and we will all face difficulties, but what we face according to 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 is light, and it’s not supposed to stay. Remember Psalm 23:4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for God is with me.” Now, keep walking, recognizing who is with you. You are not supposed to say in depression, bitterness, defeat, in lack… Now the decision is yours, but I know you are wise. Remember, according to Matthew 18:18, God must honor your decision, even if it’s the wrong one. Not that He agrees, but He must honor you, the one who’s in charge on the earth [See Psalm 115:16 above]. Yes, God needs your permission. This is why it’s so important for each of us to take time each day to pray, as Jesus instructs us in Matthew 6:9-13. When we pray, we give God permission in the affairs of our earth [home, community, job, friends, nation..]. Don’t forget the God we serve is Alpha and Omega. He’s already been where you are attempting to go. He already has the answer you are trying to figure out. So, why not give him permission to show Himself strong in your life?
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
