Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Check Your Address”
Luke 18:1-8 King James Version (KJV)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Further Thought: In today’s passage, we find the persistence of the widow and her quest for justice. Just like the window, once we have asked God for something in faith, we are not to grow weary or lose faith. She knew justice was hers, and she was not going to let it slip away. Did you notice in verse 5 that she kept asking continually? Today, we don’t have to keep asking God for the same thing over and over. 2 Peter 1:3-4 reminds us that God has already given us everything we need to live a victorious life, and we get to partake of these benefits as we get to know Him. So, once we have prayed the prayer of faith according to Mark 11:24 and with the confidence in 1 John 5:14-15, we are to “hold fast to our confession of faith without wavering for He who promised is faithful”, according to Hebrews 10:23.
The question today is, when your answer is delivered, will you still be in faith? I was recently reminded that God does not tell us when the promised will be delivered. Now, when it does, it can only be delivered to Faith Street or Faith Boulevard. Understand when it is delivered, and you are on doubt-and-unbelief street, or I-sure-hope-so drive, the package must be returned. Let’s remember, all the benefits of the kingdom must be received by faith. Now, just for a moment, think of all the promises you were believing for, but because you were not in the right place, they were returned and are now sitting back in heaven with your name on them. The good news is they still belong to you, and you can get them back by getting in faith and requesting that they be delivered once again to Faith Street. Amen! Now, throughout your day, be sure to recognize what street you are on when you are believing for Kingdom results.
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
