connecting with God and you!

You’ve Got His Attention

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“You’ve Got His Attention”

Acts 10:30-33 The Message (MSG)

30-32 [Cornelius response to Peter] Cornelius said, “Four days ago at about this time, midafternoon, I was home praying. Suddenly there was a man right in front of me, flooding the room with light. He said, ‘Cornelius, your daily prayers and neighborly acts have brought you to God’s attention. I want you to send to Joppa to get Simon, the one they call Peter. He’s staying with Simon the Tanner down by the sea.’

33 “So I did it—I sent for you. And you’ve been good enough to come. And now we’re all here in God’s presence, ready to listen to whatever the Master put in your heart to tell us.”

Further Thought:  Today’s passage is Cornelius’s response to Peter’s question, “Why did you send for me?”  Peter was a Jew, and it was against Jewish custom to associate with Cornelius, a non-Jew.  Acts 10:34 reminds us that God is no respecter of persons.  So, if we see in His word that He’s done it for one, it’s also available for us.

So today, know without a doubt that your prayers of faith and acts of love have not gone unnoticed.  They have also gotten the attention of God.  Now, just as Cornelius did, God desires for us to take time each day to get alone with Him in prayer [uninterrupted time], so He can reveal to us what is next. Amen!

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
