Protect Your Peace

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Protect Your Peace”

Isaiah 26:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

——–

Further Thought:  John 14:27 reminds us that one of the most valuable gifts we’ve been given is the peace of God.  And with His peace, we should not allow our hearts to be troubled or to be afraid.  Philippians 4:7 also reminds us that God’s peace surpasses all understanding, and if received and acted upon, it will keep our hearts and minds. Now, as you start this new day, I must warn you that we will all have the opportunity today to protect our peace.  Some will get the opportunity in traffic, getting their children out of bed, and maybe at work.  Nevertheless, no matter what you are or will face today, decide right now that you will not give away your peace.  Tell yourself you are going to stay focused on what God said and walk in His peace at all costs.  Remember that what the Holy Spirit has to reveal to you today can only be received in peace [See John 16:13-15].  So, when you feel the urge that you are about to give away your peace, remind yourself: “God keeps me in perfect peace, because I keep my mind stayed on pleasing Him and I trust in Him.”

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
