Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Guard Your Heart & Mind”
Philippians 4:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us how we should start today and every day. That is, by reminding ourselves there is no reason to be anxious about anything. Because God’s peace is available that guards both our hearts and minds. So, before the thought comes or you say it, you are not going to lose your mind or have a broken heart. Verses 6 & 7 above speak of an exchange that takes place when you take whatever you are facing to God in prayer. Regardless of whether you are right or wrong, God, without question, will provide you with his peace in exchange for the opportunity to help you. Now, God doesn’t leave us hanging. He now tells us, in verse 8, what we should do to stay focused and experience the solutions he has made available: meditate on the answers he has provided in his word. Let’s remember that faith in God comes only one way: by hearing and continuing to hear what He has said. So, let’s make the exchange with God, which guarantees the protection of both our hearts and minds.
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
