Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Fresh Start”

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

Further Thought:  A good friend of mine told me that when he wakes up, he always says, Father, what are we doing today.  Notice he didn’t start his conversation with “Lord, this is what I have on my plate, and if you don’t help me, I don’t know what I’m going to do”.  No, he’s made the quality decision to allow his Heavenly Father to direct his day and not for his day to direct him.  Remember our good, good Heavenly Father knows what’s ahead and around the corner.  He is never surprised.

Unfortunately, our busy, hard-working lifestyles are not conducive to giving God time in order to hear from Him.  For this reason, I agree with David, the writer of Psalm 5, that we should take a few minutes at the start of each day not only to acknowledge God but also to allow Him to speak to our hearts.  You see, at the beginning of each day, you are the most focused and not easily distracted.  You can quickly quiet your soul [mind, will & emotions] and, with confidence, start your day not only in God’s presence but also by hearing from Him.

So, as citizens of the Kingdom of God, let’s start this new week seeking the guidance of Heaven.  Remember to have something you’ve never had, you have to be willing to do something you’ve never done.
