Heaven Is Awaiting Your Authorization

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Heaven Is Awaiting Your Authorization”

Matthew 6:7-8 Living Bible (TLB)

7-8 “Don’t recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

——–
Further Thought:  The above passage reminds us that #1, Jesus didn’t intend for us to recite the model prayer [Matthew 6:9-13] word-for-word every day.  #2, Jesus reminds us that we need to have confidence in what we ask of God.  #3 Jesus also reminds us that before we ask, God already knows, so we can skip all the details and get right to the matter. So, today, what concerns to you?  I want to encourage you to bring those concerns to God in prayer and be specific.

[God’s Prayer Model] Matthew 6:9-13Pray, then, in this way: Father, you are holy, and I’ve made a decision to honor you in my life today.  May your kingdom (your rule and reign) be established in the life of our President Donald Trump and his entire administration.  In our U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, state and local government officials, on our jobs, in our homes, in our communities, and in our nation.  May your will (the promises in your word (be specific)) manifest today in our lives and our nation as it is in heaven.   Give us the provisions we need (the favor, the boldness, the wisdom, the creativity) to accomplish every task.  Forgive me (confess the sin):  I recognize this didn’t bring you honor, and I’m sorry.  Father, I forgive and release those who have wronged me.  I’m letting go of both the wrong and the resentment.  Guide us today so we don’t end up in the wrong place.  Thank you for your protection from every work of the devil.  Thank you for ruling and reigning in my life and on earth.  I give you all the praise, glory, and honor.  In Jesus Name.  Amen!

When we pray according to God’s model, we authorize heaven’s intervention in our concerns.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
