Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Don’t Worry Pray”
Philippians 4:6-7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Further Thought: As we continue to live out our faith as ambassadors of Christ, there will still be things that will test our love walk and cause us to give in to worry. However, today’s passage provides us with the answer to receiving God’s peace and guidance, no matter the situation or circumstance: pray. Talk to God about whatever is concerning us. In exchange for our concerns, He’s promised us His peace. Did you notice it’s not just any peace? No, it’s the peace that transcends all understanding that guards our hearts and minds and is one of our many benefits. Let’s also recognize that when we come to God, we must come with thanksgiving. Coming to God with thanksgiving demonstrates your trust that He has the answers you need. Your worries for God’s peace, sounds like a fair exchange to me.
As we close, let me encourage you to give God your best time when you come to Him in daily prayer. Early in the morning works best for me. I’ve discovered I’m more focused, and my mind hasn’t begun to race. Whatever time you choose, ensure it’s a time you won’t be disturbed.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
