“Fast Today”

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Further Thought: Today let me encourage you not to focus on:

• What You Don’t Know
• What You Don’t Have
• What You Can’t Do

Focusing on what we don’t know, don’t have, and can’t do moves us further into darkness and away from the light (the answer) God has provided in His Word.  Now, I’m not saying to ignore what’s going on in your life, but according to today’s word, it can’t be your focus.  It can’t be what you give the most attention to.  However, when we focus on what God has said, we move closer to the answer.  Remember, the entrance of God’s words gives light.  Yes, God’s words that are believed, received, and acted upon will provide the light (the answers) required.  Now our part is to hold fast to our confession of faith (what we believe we receive according to God’s Word).  I know the problem, the issue (the darkness) is still there, but your focus must remain on the light (what God said).  Remember you are on a journey of faith. So, no matter how things appear, continue to allow God’s words to direct your steps, and no matter what, don’t stop following the light. So, today’s “Fast” doesn’t require us to miss a meal or pray a special prayer, but it does require us to make a decision.
