Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The Standard”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.…

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that love is not an option in the Kingdom of God. And this same love demonstrated in today’s passage now lives in each of us as Kingdom citizens. According to Romans 5:5, it was deposited into our hearts the moment we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. And yes, it means you can operate in this love. Some may say, I can’t do that. However, our Creator knows what He’s put on the inside of us, which is the ability to operate on this level. Love is “The Standard” of the Kingdom of God. Remember, when we fail to act in love towards our fellow man, our faith in God ceases to function. Galatians 5:6 reminds us that our faith in God, our faith to receive what God has made available, is fueled by our love. I like to say it this way: no love, no faith, no faith, no Kingdom manifestation. Now, I want to encourage you to remind yourself of this love that lives in you. We remind ourselves of what’s in us by continuing to hear about it, according to Romans 10:17. So I want you to reread today’s passage, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, New International Version (NIV), this time replacing the words “love” & “it” with your name. Recognize this is who you are, a love agent. Now, continue to draw upon God’s love that’s been given to you and allow those in your world to see it in operation. Amen!
Have a great day walking in the love of God and keep chewing on God’s Word.
