connecting with God and you!

Start Fresh

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Start Fresh”

Lamentations 3:22-25 New Living Translation (NLT)

22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.  23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”  25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.

Further Thought: I don’t know about you, but I don’t always say or do what is right.  When I find myself in these situations, I’m grateful I can receive the mercies of God.  Isn’t it encouraging to know we serve a God who knew about our shortcomings before we discovered them?  And even then, according to today’s passage, He still rewards us with new mercies [love, compassion, and favor] each morning.  They never cease.  Think about it: He gives us no reason not to “Start Fresh” each day.  So, tell yourself to stop dwelling on the hurt and disappointment.  Leave yesterday where it is, in the past, and focus on what God desires to do in your life today.  Remember, according to Romans 8:28, as we continue to walk in love, God will use our lemon experiences to make lemonade in our lives. Now, by faith, despite how you feel or how things appear, say to yourself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” and receive as much of His mercies as you require, and remember His mercies never run out.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
