Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“The 2 Work Together – Part 2”

Romans 5:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access [Admission] by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Further Thought:  On Friday, we spoke about Grace [God’s Part] and Faith [Our Part], and how the two work together.  Let’s understand that our faith doesn’t move God. God has already moved by grace.  Our faith [trust, confidence in God] reaches out and takes (appropriates) what God’s grace has already provided (See Mark 11:22-26).  If you didn’t read Friday’s nugget, let me encourage you to do so.

2 Corinthians 5:21 reminds us that as a result of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we have been made right with God.  So, there’s nothing you or I can do to change this.  Yes, our actions may say otherwise, but our position with God never changes.  We are His children and the apple of His eye.  Today’s passage also reminds us that, by trusting in Jesus, we have been justified [declared right] with God.  Not only that, but now we have peace with God and access [admission] into His grace.

Let’s keep in mind that this is only the beginning.  As we get to know God according to 2 Peter 1:3-4, we continue to gain more access into His grace [what He has made available] and how to take advantage of all our rights and privileges as citizens of the Kingdom of God. Right now, God is saying, “Come on into my world of faith and see (discover) all that my grace has provided”.  Isn’t this exciting?
