Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“His Instructions”

Joshua 1:8-9

8 [God’s word] shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Further Thought: Today’s passage provides the instructions God gave to Joshua as he prepared to lead the Israelites into and conquer the land of Canaan, and these instructions remain the same for you and me today as Ambassadors of Christ. God’s best today will require you to be strong and courageous.  Just as there were giants in the land of Canaan, you and I should also expect to face some impossible odds as God leads us. You may think you are not qualified, you don’t speak the language, and you don’t know anyone who’s been where God is commanding you to go.  Fear not.  It’s all a setup.  It’s all part of God’s plan to lead you into your land of Canaan.  John 10:10b reminds us that Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows), Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC), but there will be resistance to keep us from experiencing God’s best.  Where God is leading, you will require faith in Him and only Him. If you and I could handle life’s difficulties on our own, there would be no need for faith or for depending on God.  When you and I follow God’s plan as He has provided in His word and spoken unto us by His Holy Spirit (the two will always agree), we are guaranteed success according to verse 8 above. I believe His instructions are worth following.  Amen!
