Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Keep it Simple”

John 15:1, 7 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 [Jesus said] “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Mark 11:22, 24 King James Version (KJV)

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever [you] desire, when [you] pray, believe that [you] receive them, and [you] shall have them.

Further Thought: As we start this new week, I want to share the Good News with some and remind others of it.  Keep it Simple [see the two passages above].  So, if Jesus didn’t make receiving from the Kingdom of God complicated, then we shouldn’t either.  Today, let’s recognize that everything we need is in the vine [In Jesus, In the Word of God]. The confidence, courage, joy, peace, favor, and know-how are all in the vine. We stay connected to the vine by simply believing, receiving, and obeying God’s word. Let’s understand that God wants us to have the answer before we recognize we need it.  We have no passage in the Bible where we find Jesus freaking out because things weren’t going His way, and neither should you or I.  Now, as we take time daily to hear God’s word, here is our assignment to receive whatever we need:

1. Find out what God has said about it

2. Renew our minds to it until we are fully persuaded

3. Ask for it

4. Believe we receive it

Jesus said in verses 7 & 24 above that those things you desire when you pray, you shall, not might have them. Amen!
