“Oh Give Thanks”

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy [goodness; lovingkindness] endureth for ever.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds me of Psalm 103:2, not to forget a single benefit that belongs to me.  Yes, “mercy” is one of our benefits as Kingdom Citizens.  Psalm 100:4 reminds us to ”Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His name”.  So today, let’s remove the spotlight from all that we don’t have, all that’s not going as planned.  Now, let’s start our new week by being thankful and reflecting upon all we have.  I want to encourage you to take a few minutes to write down three to five things for which you are thankful.  Now, throughout your day, take your list and begin thanking God for what He has done and the marvelous plans He still has in store, according to Jeremiah 29:11-13, NIV; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16; and 2 Peter 1:3-4. Think about it: the older we get, the more thankful we should become.
