“Present Help”

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that our God is ever-present whenever we need Him.  Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 also remind us that God said He would never leave nor forsake us. Now that we’ve settled the issue of God’s presence, we can also conclude that since He is ever-present, He doesn’t need to yell or scream. Let’s recognize that when someone is close, there is no need to yell or scream.  Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”.  Now our part, according to Proverbs 3:5-6, is to acknowledge Him, and He will, not might, direct our path.
