Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“This One Thing”

Matthew 22:36-40 New Living Translation (NLT)

36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Further Thought:  In today’s passage, Jesus sums up in two commands how we are to live as His followers:  1.  By loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind.  2. By loving our neighbor [one who is near, fellow man or any other person] as we love ourselves.  So, not 10 commands but only two, and it’s only one, and that is we are to live a life of love no matter what the situation or circumstance. Let’s remember that, according to Galatians 5:6, our love is the fuel for our faith [trust & confidence] in God to work.  We’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: No love, no faith; No faith, no breakthrough [no manifestation of God’s goodness].  Can you see the importance of “This One Thing”?
