Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Command Your Day”
Psalm 118:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
——–
Further Thought: Let’s recognize that if we don’t command our day, our day (circumstances) will. Now, this is not to say we won’t face challenges. But starting your day with the creator of your day gives you an advantage that even when you face difficulties, you recognize who’s for you and with you. Romans 8:31 reminds us that if God be for us, who dare be against us. So, before you check the latest headlines and before you start to rehearse all you must face today, let me encourage you to command your day. Well, how do I command my day? I’m glad you asked. Here are a few confessions of faith you can start with:
This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. [Psalm 118:24]
No weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper; and every tongue which rises against us I will condemn. This is the authority given to me as a child of the Most High God [Isaiah 54:17]
I refuse to walk in fear. For God has not given me the spirit of fear, but he has given me the spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind [2 Timothy 1:7]
I recognize I have an anointing from God, and I know all I need to know today [1 John 2:20]
I will walk in love today at all costs. I will love my neighbor and treat others the way I desire to be treated [Romans 5:5 and Matthew 22:36-40]
Holy Spirit, instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. Council me today. I’m willing to learn [Psalm 32:8 Amplified Bible]
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
