Don’t Neglect It

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Don’t Neglect It”

Psalm 119:18-19 The Passion Translation (TPT)

18 Open my eyes to see the miracle-wonders hidden in your word.  19 My life on earth is so brief, so tutor me in the ways of your wisdom.

Further Thought:   One of the things that’s most exciting to me when reading and meditating upon God’s Word is when He reveals things to me that I’ve never heard anyone else say. John chapter 16, verses 13-15, remind us that the Holy Spirit’s assignment is to guide us into all truth; to tell us what Jesus and the Father are saying; and to show us things to come. Now, take a moment to read John 16:13-15 in your favorite Bible translation.  Recognize time alone in God’s word and in prayer when your soul (mind, will, and emotions) is calm, allows the Spirit of God who lives in you to reveal answers and to show you things to come.  Today each of us have been given 1440 minutes.  Consider that 1% of that is 14 minutes and 40 seconds.  As citizens of the Kingdom of God, shouldn’t we all agree that we all should be able to devote 15 minutes of our time daily to God?  So let me encourage you not to neglect spending time daily in God’s word and in prayer.

Today’s Prayer: Father, Jesus said in Luke 12:32 not to worry or to be preoccupied with the everyday affairs of life, because it’s Your good pleasure to give me the kingdom. I recognize that you and only you are my source, not my job or my friends.  Now, as I read Your Word today, I’m asking You to grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation, insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of You. May the eyes of my heart be flooded with light so I can know and understand the hope to which You have called me. I believe I will know and understand the immeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing greatness of Your power in and for me. I believe I receive. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
