Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Pleasant Words”
Proverbs 16:23-24 New King James Version (NKJV)
23 The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, And adds learning to his lips. 24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
——–
Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us of two things: (1) We can teach our mouths what to say. (2) Pleasant words [sweet, delightful, lovely, or agreeable] contain the power to affect not only our soul (mind, will, and emotions) but also to bring health to our bones. Wow! Don’t wait for someone to say pleasant words about you, but I want to encourage you to call yourself what God has said. Begin to believe that you receive what you say and pray for, according to Mark 11:22-24. Begin to meditate on what you believe you received. Remember, according to Mark 4:17, affliction and persecution will come in an attempt to steal what you believe about yourself according to God’s word. Finally, let’s remember we are created in the image and likeness of God. So, today, let’s only speak and receive pleasant words.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
