Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The Importance of Forgiveness”
Mark 11:22-26 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Further Thought: In today’s passage, we find Jesus telling his disciples of the authority, power, and access they have been given in verses 22-24. Now Jesus wasn’t finished speaking, and he went on to tell the disciples in verses 25-26 that their authority, power, and access only work by love. We’ve discussed this before, but we can’t hold on to unforgiveness and expect the miracle-working power of God to work in our lives. This is the point Jesus was making to his disciples in verses 25-26 above. So, if you do find yourself holding on to unforgiveness, I want you to remind yourself of two things: #1 I’ve disconnected from my source. #2 I can’t stay in this unforgiveness. I must release it quickly. Now, once you’ve released the unforgiveness, your authority to speak to the mountains (problems & circumstances) in your life has been reinstated. You can now have confidence that your prayers of faith will come to pass. And your access to all the benefits of the kingdom is restored. Can you see the importance of living a lifestyle of forgiveness?
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
