“Why”

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness …

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

1 Corinthians 3:16 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Further Thought: Since you were created in the image and likeness of God, and your body is God’s temple, why would you seek outside counsel before inquiring of Him?
