Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Transformation Is Required”

Romans 12:1-2 New King James Version

1 I beseech[urge] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your [rational]reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that God doesn’t want just a part of us; he wants all of us. He wants us to be totally committed to him. We demonstrate our commitment to him by not letting our environment shape the course of our day, but by allowing his words to transform us through the renewing of our minds. According to Ephesians 5:1, our God wants his children not only to think like him but to act like him.  Proverbs 23:7 reminds us that as a man/woman thinks in his heart, so is he.  Now let’s pay attention to the thoughts we allow into our minds, which will shape the day we can expect. Today’s passage also reminds us that we can’t stay the same if we want to see God’s “perfect will” manifest in our lives. So today and every day, let’s allow God’s word to transform the areas of our lives that require adjustment. Now, be honest: you already know some of those areas, and the Holy Spirit [God’s Spirit] that lives in you will show you the rest.
