Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Follow The Guide”

John 16:13-15 King James Version (KJV)

13 [Jesus is Speaking] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will [show] you things to come.

14 he shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall [show] it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall [show] it unto you.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that we have a tour guide living in us 24/7: the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth. And his assignment is to guide us as we follow the truth of God’s word. Jesus goes on to tell us that our guide not only speaks the truth, but that he speaks only what he hears from Jesus, and that he will reveal things to you that are to come.  Think about it: How can you lose in life when you follow the tour guide of earth?

Now, in the natural, if you are with a tour guide, their assignment is to tell and reveal things to you that you didn’t know. Now, if you ignore the guide [intentionally or unintentionally], they will keep speaking, but you will miss out on things you could have experienced. This morning, let’s make the decision to stop ignoring our guide.  He’s totally committed to guiding us as we follow the truth of God’s word.  

Let’s remember God’s word is seed, and we must develop confidence in it that it’s working to produce our desired harvest, even when we don’t see it.  Amen!
