Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The Benefits of God’s Word”
Proverbs 6:20-22 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
20 My son, keep your father’s [God-given] commandment and forsake not the law of [God] your mother [taught you].
21 Bind them continually upon your heart and tie them about your neck.
22 When you go, they [the words of your parents’ God] shall lead you; when you sleep, they shall keep you; and when you waken, they shall talk with you.

Further Thought: So, when God tells us in Joshua 1:8 and Proverbs 4:20-22 to meditate on His word all the time, it’s for our benefit. Today’s passage reminds us that as we go, God’s word will lead us; when we sleep, it will keep us, and when we awake, it will talk to us. Can you see that God’s word is always working? When we think about it, our main responsibility is to get God’s word in us and allow it to lead us into His best. As you start your day, let me encourage you to allow God’s word to:
1. Lead You
2. Keep You
3. Speak to You
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
