Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“It’s In the Hands of Men”

Luke 6:37-38 King James Version (KJV)

37 Judge not, and [you] shall not be judged: condemn not, and [you] shall not be condemned: forgive, and [you] shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that [you] mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Further Thought:  Did you notice three times in Luke 6:38 that it mentions “shall”?  So, when we give it sets into motion the system of seed time and harvest in our lives, but it doesn’t end there.  Notice how God is going to get the blessing back to you, whether it’s a financial need or a need of favor, and that is through “men”.  There are no US dollars in heaven; they are all on the earth in the hands of men.  Now, can you see how important it is for us to pray for our fellow man daily according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4?  This permits God to move upon their hearts to transfer the wealth, to establish that new position, to give that promotion, to grant that scholarship, or to establish that new benefit.  So, no matter which party wins the elections on Tuesday, make a commitment to pray daily for all men, especially for those in positions of influence.

Prayer:  Father, thank you today for opening the eyes of our understanding concerning our giving (time, talent, and finances).  We now recognize that the reciprocal benefit of our giving doesn’t happen automatically, but you need the cooperation of men.  And now we see the importance of not only praying for our fellow man but also not holding on to any unforgiveness, that as we give, we will truly experience the “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over” blessing you have made available.  In Jesus Name.  Amen!
