Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Remove the Limitations”
Romans 12:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
——–
Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that our good God doesn’t want us to be limited by what we can just see, taste, and feel, but to begin to see things from his perspective. Now, to see things from His perspective, we have to commit to transforming our soul [mind, will, and emotions] to align with what He says. This will require us to walk by faith (trust and confidence in what God has said) rather than by sight (just what we can see, taste, and feel). You see, we won’t be able to see (experience) all God has for us from a natural point of view. However, when we make the commitment to renew our minds, God said in today’s passage that we will then know what His good, acceptable, and perfect will is. The only limits in the Kingdom of God are the limits we set on it. Let’s remember two powerful scriptures: Mark 9:23 “Jesus said “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” And Mark 10:27 “Jesus said…“With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” I want to encourage you to join me in getting rid of limited thinking and acting and replacing those actions with God’s way of thinking and doing. Here are a few examples to get you started in removing those limitations.
I Can’t – Replace it with “I can do all things through Christ who provides me the strength” [Philippians 4:13]
That’s Impossible or this will never change – Replace it with “If I can believe, all things are possible” [Mark 9:23 and Mark 10:27]
I don’t know what to do – Replace it with “Gods Spirit will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go” [Psalm 32:8]
I can’t figure out how to do this – Replace it with “If I lack wisdom all I have to do is ask God Who will graciously provide” [James 1:5]
We all have to die from something – Replace it with “Yes, we all have to die, but I don’t have to die from any sickness or disease. Jesus took all my diseases and carried all my pains. [Psalms 103:3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24]. So, I’ve determined to live until my assignment is complete” [Psalm 118:17]
We never have enough, or I don’t know how I’m going to pay for …. Replace it with “Father thank you, that as a giver you supply all my need according to your riches in glory” ([Philippians 4:18; Luke 6:38; Mark 10:29-30; Malachi 3:6,10-12]
When guilt tries to set in – Once you’ve confessed it, drop it and replace those thoughts of guilt with, “Father thank you for forgiving all my sins”. [Psalms 103:3 & 1 John 1:9]
When fear & worry tries to set in – Replace those thoughts and feelings with, “Father thank you for not giving me the spirit of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind”. [2 Timothy 1:7]
When unforgiveness tries to set in – Replace those thoughts with, “Father thank you for your love that lives within me and I choose to operate in total forgiveness”. (Romans 5:5 & Mark 11:25-26)
When your family members, leaders, children… are not making wise decisions: Don’t start to complain & talk about them but instead pray for them. “Father thank you for giving our leaders, family members, children [call their names out to God], wisdom, guidance and direction”. [1 Timothy 2:1-4].
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
