Proverbs 25:19 New Living Translation (NLT)

19 Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.

Further Thought:  Can your family depend on you?  Can your co-workers and supervisors depend on you?  Can your pastor depend on you?  Finally, can God depend on you when He needs something done?  Today’s passage reminds us that unreliable people can’t and shouldn’t be relied upon. They don’t qualify to assist others in the affairs of life.  I know you answered “Yes” to all four questions above. Let me encourage you to continue being someone who can be relied upon.
