Don’t Forget Your Medicine

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Don’t Forget Your Medicine”

Proverbs 4:20-22 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.  21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health [medicine] to all their flesh.

Further Thought:  We all know that for medicine to be effective, we must follow the instructions.  Now, if you don’t take your medicine as you should, your doctor has a way of knowing, and he will tell you that if you want to get better, you need to start taking your medicine as prescribed.  In today’s passage, God is telling us the same.  If you desire to live the life I’ve prescribed for you, then get my word back in your mouth.  Don’t grow weary just because a bit of time goes by and you don’t see the physical results.  Know that God’s word is incorruptible seed, and if we will confess it with our mouth and believe it with our heart, we will, not might see the manifestation of what He said.  Joshua 1:8 and today’s passage tells us how we are to take God’s word.  Don’t let His words depart from your mouth.  Keep declaring what God said.  Meditate upon it throughout your day.  So when thoughts of doubt and defeat come, you say what God’s word says.  Hold fast to your confession of faith.  Understand this is not a one-time event.  Romans 12:2 reminds us that we must continually renew our minds.  As a believer, this is now your daily lifestyle.  Yes, to agree with God’s word, no matter what.  No, you may not always feel like spending time in God’s word.  However, let me encourage you to set your feelings aside, take our medicine daily, and watch your life change.  Somebody Shout Glory!!!

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
