Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Great Faith”
Matthew 8:5-10, 13 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” 7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. (But speak the word only), and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

Further Thought: Now, some will think that when they hear someone has great faith, they will assume this is someone who attends church every Sunday, reads their Bible daily, and always does what’s right. Now, consistency in the things of God is an integral part of our spiritual growth process, but the great faith Jesus is describing today is simply believing what the Word of God says (believing what He said). John 1:1-5 tells us that Jesus is the Word. Well, you may ask, how do I receive the faith to believe the Word? As we’ve discussed in the past, find out what the Word of God has said about what you are facing and begin to hear it and meditate on it until faith comes for you to receive (take) it. Stay with it until you become fully persuaded, not only that God can do it, but he will do it for you. Yes, we can all have great faith, and we should, but it’s going to take a commitment from us to renew our minds to the truth —the answer God has provided.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
