“The Benefit of Faithfulness”

Deuteronomy 7:9 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

9 Keep in mind that the Lord your God is ⌞the only⌟ God. He is a faithful God, who keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commands.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that our faithfulness to God allows Him to be faithful to our generations to come.  So when you think about it, it’s not just about you honoring God or God honoring your prayers, the reason you are successful.  But God is also honoring the faithfulness of your parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts of past generations who have been faithful to Him.
